{"id":471,"date":"2006-07-21T13:50:10","date_gmt":"2006-07-21T13:50:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newblog.odedsharon.com\/?p=471"},"modified":"2006-07-21T13:50:10","modified_gmt":"2006-07-21T13:50:10","slug":"","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newerblog.odedsharon.com\/?p=471","title":{"rendered":"Eggs Benedict"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I had a craving for Eggs Benedicts.<br \/>\nThe only place i&#8217;ve ate EB in Israel is in Dixie, and searching the net i found out that there&#8217;s also one in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rest.co.il\/brasserie%5Fnew\/\">Brassarie<\/a><br \/>\nI had a copy of Hair  ot Zman tel-aviv or Time out with a list of all the places in Tel-aviv to eat EggsBen, but couldn&#8217;t ind it. <br \/>\nI figure out that by the time I got out, into a restaurant, and ordering it, i&#8217;d be very hungry, have a hunger headache, and very little money, because these places charge a fortune. I mean 56NIS for breakfats  ? <br \/>\nSo i googled up some recipes. Of course I was missing bacon, and I have problems making things with raw egg yolk. So i ended up improvising my own version of almost Eggs Benedict, which turned out almost as good as the real thing. Not quite, but still.<\/p>\n<p>OEB<br \/>\n(Oded&#8217;s Eggs Benedict)<\/p>\n<p><i>Powered by Fuzzycook<\/i><Br><br \/>\n<br \/>\nBoil some water and put in a small frying pan with high edges. Pour in some viniger.<br \/>\nWater should reach about 90 DegC, and only slightly bubble. The viniger help and the fact that it&#8217;s a flat pan with large surface area (Remeber, PV=NRT and P is low because we have a large S).<br \/>\nPut the egg in it and let it boil.<br \/>\nMake the gravey:<br \/>\nmix :<br \/>\n<code><\/p>\n<pre>\r\nX *            Mayonaise, \r\nX\/2 *          Mustard, \r\n2\/3 * X        Molten butter,\r\nEpsilon *      Salt, pepper, paprika\r\n4 * Epsilon *  Lemon juice\r\n4 * Epsilon *  Chopped Dill \r\n\r\nS.T \r\nX := some quantity of mayonaise\r\nEpsilon := very small amount\r\n<\/pre>\n<p><\/code><br \/>\nPut a peice of bread to be toasted when you&#8217;re in mid mix of the sauce.<\/p>\n<p>The first egg&#8217;s white should be ready, and the yolk still running like we like it.<br \/>\nGet the first egg out with those bigs spoons with the holes in it that morfix translates as &#8221; slotted spoon&#8221;.<br \/>\nput it on a plate where you places onf of those very absorbant kitchen papers which morfix calls &#8220;blotting paper&#8221;.<br \/>\nPut the other egg in the semi boiling water.<br \/>\nPrepare first egg:<br \/>\nLayer up the Bread, egg on top of it, and the sauce as portayed in the following layer diagram:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\nSauce Sauce Sauce Sauce (Layer 2)\r\nSauce EGG EGG EGG Sauce (Layer 1)\r\nBREAD BREAD BREAD BREAD (Layer 0)\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>\nThe second egg should be ready by now so, do the second part of the for loop:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\nconst int EggsUsed = 2;\r\n\r\nfor (int Eggs = EggsUsed; Eggs > 0; Eggs--) {\r\n ..\r\n}\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>\nCall your girlfriend and annouce that breakfest is served.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had a craving for Eggs Benedicts.
