I don’t feel like writing too much, i know when i’ll start you’ll have pages over pages to read. and most of you won’t bother with it anyway.

I hate chain e-mail.
I don’t like being told to send this thing to 10 people and i’ll get lucky, or don’t send this and terrible things will happen to you.
I like it in it’s regular snail-mail form. When you get an envelope, with your name on it, it means someone acutually bothered to do mor then just click “forward”. I’ve send a chain mail letter to my friends once or twice. I made up a few stories about mrs. this and mr. that, that send or didn’t the letter and terrible things, or good things happend to them.
I don’t know who invented chain-mail, but if it was someone from the post office, he was some kind of genius.

I’m a regular visitor to the annual Israeli food festival – Taam Haiir. This year, it’s the 9th festival, and my 8th attendance.
I’ve been critisizing and complaning about it in the last 2 festivales, but i think something changed in my approach this year.
It started out as something nice, a lot of big fancy resteraunt i didn’t know, would come together, and sell their gorme, and expensive foods, in small quantities, and in very low prices.
I’ve eat new stuff, or rather, was introduced to new foods on the first few years i went there.
after the second, or third one i went to, i actually already knew most of the resteraunts there, and there wasn’t too much new food i could taste.
I’m not much big fan of seafood, not that i’m against it, but i just don’t like eating it. And a lot of the fancy resteraunt bring their seafood dishes there nowadays, so it limits my choices.
Two or three years ago, when i felt like i’ve tried everything i wanted in these events, i decided that the concept of it might be diffrent. Since it’s no longer a place to try out new stuff, it can act as a place to eat a lot, espacially – a lot of meat and deserts, and for cheap. And i was wrong. I thought to myself i’d eat big steaks for only 20NIS, but the matter of fact is that they costed 25NIS that year, and were tiny. I agree, you pay 60NIS for a steak at a resteraunt, but it’s diffrent, and it’s definently larger, and usualy better in taste.
So last year, and now this year, I regard Taam Haiir diffrently. I see it as a big food court. Like the one that every shopping mall has. Only it’s bigger, have a lot of people who come there, and it’s only open 4 days a year.
And since it’s a 10 minute bike ride from my house, there’s no point in not giong to have dinner there each day, as if it was your local neighborhood’s shopping mall’s food court.
So me and lee, went yesterday, with Assaf M. I ate some meat, Lee ate two hamburgers, actually 1 and a half, i ate half of one. I had a nice shishlik from “Shishlik Erez”. The same guy from “Lechem Erez” (Erez’s Bread) opens up a new shishlik resteraunt chain. I don’t like his bread one bit, but his antricot shishlik in a resteraunt made pita, was just yummy !
I need to find where one of these is located.
I had two deserts, one cake, and half a dish of strawberries and cream i’ve split with Lee.
Coming to think of it, i actually didn’t eat too much yesterday. Nor drank too much, when I got home, i’ve drank about 1/2 liter of juice in one sip.
I also bought my annual taam-haiir t-shirt. Their logo is very nice this year, just as it was last year.
For some strange statistical reason, i didn’t meet anyone i knew there. I usually do in these public events. I saw a few people i recognized, but i didn’t actually meet any of them, nor remembered who half of them were. I do know that i didn’t say hi, or got any hi’s from anyone.

So, go take a break. Drink some coffee, make some phone calls, but don’t, abdolutly don’t, read those two posts together.
A day before Shavuot, i was sitting on my computer late at night, when i felt something moving on my foot. It was a cockroach. YUCK !
I hate them ! They are my enemy. That one is long dead now.
Last year, in the summer, i jumped otu of bed when a cockroach was walking over me ! IN MY OWN BED ! WHILE I WAS SLEEPING !
It took me a month to start being able to sleep again, and not to think that each time the blanket or Lee touches me, it’s a roach.
It’s happening again. I woke up something like every 10 minutes, feeling as if something is crawling over me. I don’t know what to do. I’m going to do something i’m really against, and call an exterminator who’ll poison our apartment. I hope i don’t die of cancer in later years because of this, but at least i might be able to sleep in a month or so.
Well. The last few times that i started a post with the words: “I’ve got nothing to write about” ended up with 3-4 pages long posts.
I’m not gonig to do that.
I don’t know why i havn’t posted in a week now, but i do know that my “vacation” is ending next week, and i’m trying to get a few things i want done before it does.
Things like models, games, etc.. they take a lot of my time, and frankly, i don’t feel like writing at the moment.
When i will, you’ll have pages and pages more to read.
Oh, and you wise-ass that always fills out that “funny” option in my polls, i’m offended that you don’t take my blog or my polls, seriously.
Please stop it.

I’ve recently restarted my model building hobby, mainly thanks to Lee, and the huge amount of free time i have, and will still have in the next few weeks.
Part for the fact that the living rooms smells like terpentine from the paint, it’s been lotsa fun doing some creative-ish work again.
Soon, a few new ships and other scif-fi vehicles will appear on my (new) display shelf.
Redecorating the house definently helped me restart, since now, not only my Model workshop area been reallocated to where it was most confortable for me to work, but we redecorated the living room, and added a few extra shelfs which are used for my models.
It’s been very fun, but a few things got me frustrated, mainly in regards to raw materials, and tools, which i had missing, and had to drive to a remote part of town where there’s no parking whatsoever. luckily I had a ride there with Assaf M. who waited for me in the car. I still need a lot more materials and equipment, and everything is expensive !
For instance, I need an airbrush to paint Voyager’s hull with. I have an airbrush nozzle but no compressor, so i use a can of condensed gas instead of a compressor. It costs a lot, and it ran out very quick. before i got 1/2 of the hull done !
I also had a very hard time picking up the correct color for voyager’s hull. It’s a certain shade of grey, and it’s recomended never to mix paint, since you won’t be able to do corrections in a later time. I couldn’t be satisfied with any of the colors i bought, so i mixed some color, and the airbrush gave up half a way through, so i had to throw away some expensive, mixed, and already diluted color..
On friday i’ll drive to Raanana to borrow Daniel Bram’s compressor as long as he doesn’t use it.
If anyone feels like buying me a compressor, I’m accepting early birthday presents for next year… 😉
Amnon is one of my best friends.
I’ve known Amnon since we were in elementary school together, and he’s the friend I have known the longest. Like myself, Amnon likes star trek, Monty python, and computers, so naturally we were good friends during school. We both were in junior high school together, but our schooling paths split in high school where we both met and had new friends from out respective schools.
Amnon and I share a common passion for adventure games, especially Monkey Island. His nickname is LeChuck.

I’ve decided i want some constant topic to write about. So, unless I forget, or don’t feel like it, each week, starting today, i’m gonna write a post about one of my friends, and i’ll add it to the “about me” FAQ that’s right there on the left side of the page. I’ve even got the next two-three month’s posts lined up there already. Don’t worry, The order in which they appear isn’t the one in which i’ll post them.
I give you a word of advance warning, if you don’t want me to write certain stuff about you, or do want to write something abuot you, or want me to make stuff up about you, let me know now, or forever hold your peace.
I also preffer to get some short post from you, describing stuff like, how i know you, and /or some situation we’ve been in together.

Drunk.

Not Enough.
Last thursday, Dana Lee and I, decided to get drunk. A bottle of breezer made me somewhat happy, and i started with some random nonsense. A second bottle of Campari Mix a few hours later didn’t seem to have an effect.
Since 90% of my friends are geek/nerds who don’t drink, i don’t get to be in situations where i can drink. Plus, i don’t like neither beer, nor wine. so that leaves the another 9% of my friends who when talking about drinking, it’s all about beer.
I’d like go out, and to be drunk and to have fun.
maybe one day with the right company.
Being slightly drunk, is very fun and i miss the days where i’d have had oppurtunities to be slightly drunk.
even though there wern’t a lot of those. I feel like i’ve missed out on somethingin my youth that. I’m sure i’m not the only person who feels like he missed out on stuff when he was younger.
